The best subscription tracker and manager apps in 2026

Fourteen subscription trackers and managers, split by the one choice that decides the rest. Two of them read your bank feed, one reads the billing emails you forward to it, and most of the rest leave the list to you. We read every price and feature off each company's own page or store listing and date every cell: August 12, 2026 for the first six, October 6 for three iPhone apps, and October 15 for the five we added last.

How to read this list

Every subscription tracker answers one question first. Where does the list come from? Either the app reads your bank and card transactions and works out which ones repeat, or you type them in yourself. Charts, reminders, widgets and especially the price all follow from that answer.

Prices move, so every competitor row below links to the page its claims came from. Check before you pay.

Rocket Money

Link your accounts and Rocket Money lists charges you couldn't have named from memory, then Premium hands the cancelling to a human. Nothing else here makes that phone call. Choose Rocket Money if that's worth both a bank connection and a recurring fee for the tool that reduces recurring fees.

Emma

Emma is the strongest option here if you're in the UK. FCA-regulated open banking pulls in your accounts, and subscriptions are one screen in an app that also covers budgets, credit and rent reporting. Choose Emma if you want a whole UK money dashboard and can live with an app that needs a connected account before it shows you anything.

SubTracker

SubTracker makes the clearest privacy statement of the manual group, and it backs that up with free CSV and JSON export on every plan. A household can share a Family workspace and track together. Choose SubTracker if that sharing is the draw, and you don't mind that a manual tracker with no bank connection still bills you every month.

ReSubs

ReSubs is polished on both phones, and one of the few here you can pay for once instead of every month. Its cancellation guides are useful when you're halfway through a cleanup. Choose ReSubs if you need a cross-platform app in your own language. Check the free tier's cap first, though, because free ends at a number of subscriptions rather than at a feature.

Bobby

Bobby defined how a subscription tracker should look, and it has aged well: entirely manual, priced as small one-time packs, and now running on Mac and Apple Vision too. There's no Android version, and that limit is permanent. Choose Bobby if you're all-Apple and care about craft more than cross-platform.

On iPhone: Orbit, SubPilot and MonoBoost

Checked October 6, 2026, on the US App Store.

Three newer iPhone apps now sit next to Bobby in App Store searches for a subscription tracker. We added them to the table above from their US App Store listings. All three are free to download; what you pay after that differs.

  • Orbit leans on import. Point it at screenshots, a CSV or a bank statement file and it builds the list. Its paid tier, Orbit Plus, is sold as a one-time purchase.
  • SubPilot is built around cancelling, with instructions for more than 500 services. Using the app requires a subscription.
  • MonoBoost tracks costs and renewal dates and helps with cancelling subscriptions billed through Apple. Its premium subscription adds automatic detection, and the listing does not say what that reads.

Subby is on iPhone too, and it is ours, so the same caveat applies. It does what the Subby row above says, adds a Home Screen widget on PRO, uses the Liquid Glass look on iOS 26 or later, and from 2.1.0 spreads across both screens of iPhone Duo. The details are on the Subby for iPhone page.

Which subscription trackers work on iPhone without a bank login?

Bobby, ReSubs and Subby need no bank connection, and the Orbit, SubPilot, Trackery, Subtrack and SubsPad listings describe none. Orbit can read a bank statement, but only as a file you choose to import.

Is there an iPhone subscription tracker you pay for once?

Yes. Bobby sells small one-time packs, Orbit sells Orbit Plus as a one-time purchase, Subtrack Pro is a one-time purchase, ReSubs has a lifetime tier, and Subby PRO is one payment. Trackery and SubsPad sell a lifetime unlock beside their plans. SubPilot and MonoBoost charge by subscription.

Five more without a bank login: SubDupes, SubKept, Trackery, Subtrack and SubsPad

Checked October 15, 2026, on the US App Store, on Google Play and on SubKept’s own site.

We added these five to the table above after searching for a subscription tracker without a bank login, and none of them describes a bank connection. SubDupes builds the list from billing emails you forward to it and is written for freelancers and teams with a stack of SaaS tools. SubKept runs in the browser and has no store listing, so its row cites its site. Trackery, Subtrack and SubsPad are Apple apps you fill in yourself, and all three sell a one-time unlock.

Subby

Ours, so discount it accordingly. Subby is manual-first. You add from 600+ built-in services, or point PRO's screenshot import at a confirmation email and let it read the service, price and cycle for you to confirm. Reminders keep firing for a week after a date you ignored, and the home-screen widget shows what's next and what this month costs. None of it needs an account.

From 2.1.0, Insights is free for everyone. It shows what you commit each month, twelve months of real spending, price creep per service, the year ahead and what cancelling has saved you. A free trial carries its end date and the price it becomes, and a payday setting shows what renews before the money lands.

Subby can't auto-detect anything, because it never sees your transactions. We made that trade on purpose. The free tier shows ads, and PRO is one payment, bought per store, so a Play unlock doesn't carry to the App Store. Your list does move between phones through your own Google Drive backup. Choose Subby if the list is already in your head, reminders and a widget are what you're missing, and you would rather pay once than every month.

Rocket Money alternatives

People looking for a Rocket Money alternative almost always want one of two things, and the table above has a column for each. Our Subby vs Rocket Money page runs the same comparison on just those two apps.

What the manual group can't replace is the cancellation service. None of these apps cancels anything for you. If someone else making the calls is what you came for, you want a bank-linked app.

Check what "free" means before you enter twenty subscriptions. A free subscription tracker can mean three things, and this list has each of them: free with ads, free up to a fixed number of subscriptions, and a permanently limited plan beside paid tiers. All three are legitimate. Only one still works after you've added everything.

So which subscription tracker is best?

If you can't name what's charging you, a bank-linked app earns its access. Once you can name them all and only need the dates, pick from the manual group on pricing model and platform. There's no single best tracker here, only the one that matches the half of the problem you actually have.

We use product names for identification only, and we re-verify every figure above quarterly.

Decided on manual? Start the list in Subby.

You add what you pay for, Home adds it up, and a reminder arrives before each renewal. Insights comes free with it, and there is no bank login and no account.
